Harry Potter Book Night 2022
On Thursday 3rd February 2022, KS2 at Redhill joined in around the world again and celebrated the eighth annual Harry Potter Book Night! This year's theme was Magical Journeys. This year was extra special as we celebrated 25 years since the first book - Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone - was published.
Throughout the day, pupils shared reading for pleasure activities including using the selfie station, playing games and quizzes, building the Hogwarts Express out of Lego and using natural objects to make a mini broomstick. We held a costume competition and tried for house points throughout the day in our 'houses.'
Mrs Hilton counted up the house points at the end and the results are as follows:
Hufflepuff = 23points
Slytherin = 22 points
Gryffindor = 30 points
Ravenclaw = 16 points
Well done everyone and special congratulations to everyone sorted into Gryffindor house!
The winners of the costume competition are:
- Ibrahim and Zayn - Year 3
- Safa K- Year 4
- Shristhi - Year 5
- Jack - Year 6
Well done - you really entered into the spirit of the day!
Just as previous years, we were so excited to share our love of Harry Potter and literature in general and to join in with schools and libraries all over the world. We can't wait for next year!
